Saudi Family Visit Visa Requirements for Pakistani Citizens
The Saudi Family Visit Visa (also known as the Family and Friends Visa) allows first-degree relatives (spouse, children, or parents) of Saudi citizens or residents to visit for up to 90 days (single-entry) or 180 days (multiple-entry over 1 year). This visa is sponsored by a family member in Saudi Arabia and is not available as an e-visa for Pakistani citizens unless they hold dual citizenship from an eligible country (e.g., US, UK, EU) or an active/used US, UK, or Schengen visa. Otherwise, applications must be processed through the VFS Tasheel center in Pakistan (vc.tasheer.com) after the sponsor obtains MOFA approval. As of October 2025, there are no active restrictions for Pakistani nationals.
Eligibility
Sponsor: Must be a Saudi citizen (with national ID) or expatriate resident with a valid work Iqama (not a dependent or student visa). The sponsor must be at least 18 years old and have valid residency covering the visitor's stay.
Visitor: Pakistani citizens who are immediate family members only (no extended relatives like siblings or cousins). Minors must be accompanied by a guardian or have notarized consent from absent parents.
Pakistanis with dual eligibility (e.g., GCC residency or valid Western visa) may qualify for e-visa or visa-on-arrival options, but standard applications go through VFS.
Required Documents
The following documents are typically required. All must be original where specified, and some (e.g., marriage/birth certificates) may need attestation by the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Saudi Embassy.

Valid Passport
Original passport valid for at least 6 months from entry date, with at least 2 blank pages.
Passport Photos
2 recent passport-sized photos with white background.
Proof of Relationship
Marriage certificate (for spouse), birth certificate (for children/parents), attested if needed.
Sponsor Documents
Copy of sponsor's Iqama or Saudi ID, plus MOFA invitation approval letter (printed).
Application Form
Completed and signed visa form (available on MOFA or VFS portal).
Proof of Funds/Travel
Bank statement showing sufficient funds, return flight ticket, hotel booking (if not staying with sponsor).
Travel Insurance
Mandatory health insurance covering the stay (purchasable via MOFA portal, ~SAR 112–375).
CNIC Copy
Scanned copy of Pakistani Computerized National Identity Card.
For Minors
Notarized consent letter from absent parent(s) in Arabic/English.
Enjaz Registration
Confirmation from Enjaz system (mandatory for all Saudi-bound travelers from Pakistan).
Biometrics
Fingerprint and photo verification (done at VFS).
Application Process
Sponsor Submits Invitation: The Saudi sponsor logs into the MOFA portal (visa.mofa.gov.sa or ksavisa.sa), fills the online form in Arabic (names in English for non-Arabs), uploads documents (passports, Iqama/ID, proof of relationship, photos), and pays fees. Authenticate via Chamber of Commerce or employer if required. Processing: 2–5 business days for approval.
Visitor Applies in Pakistan: With MOFA approval, Contact us to book an appointment at VFS Tasheel (vc.tasheer.com) in Karachi. Submit documents in person, provide biometrics, and pay fees. Track status online.
Visa Issuance: Approved visas are stamped in the passport (1–2 days) or issued electronically. Travel within the validity period.
Total Processing Time: 7–10 business days; longer during peak seasons like Ramadan.

Visa can be extended once for up to 90 days if applied via the Absher portal (absher.sa) before expiry (or up to 3 days after, with fines).
